 Learn conversational Mandarin through cultural immersion and instruction
 Home stay with a family and explore historical landmarks in Beijing
 Hike the Great Wall and Tiger Leaping Gorge
 Explore the ancient city of Lijiang
 Cultural exchange and community service at a Tibetan orphanage

Additional activities include
 Discussions on Chinese religion, minorities and China’s position in the global economy
 Cultural workshops such as cooking, calligraphy and tai chi

 High school and/or three college credits with Lesley University
 20+ community service hours

 Oral and written exam, reading and listening comprehension, reflective journal

 This Academic Treks program includes home stays and/or time spent in cities. As with all Academic Treks programs, our strict rules regarding maintaining a healthy atmosphere apply. Conduct such as drinking, drug use or smoking is not permitted.
